Black Lives matter

“I cant breathe” “I cant breathe” *crunch
On the ground, knee to the neck
One man dead, everyone mad
Riots are as big as world war 1

Everyone going crazy over one big thing
Changing the world over that one thing
No one is different from each other
BLACK LIVES MATTER

Alternate Portfolio Assignment #1

For this I added a picture from science. Thought I did very well on the art. The core competency I thought Works well for this drawing is how I can show a sense of accomplishment and joy. I say this because it is a very good drawing considering how bad I actually am. Another core competency is how I can use strategies to find peace in stressful times. I think because with what is going on its not easy to stay on task with many things but I found a way to do so. One strategy that is used is to work in a quite space so its juts me to focus more. Last core competency for personal awareness and responsibility thought I did well on was how I can persevere through challenging tasks. Like I said before I am not super good at drawing. Which made this drawing not easy.

These are just somethings that I did but what you don’t know is that we had to watch a youtube video and copy the video. So with my creative thinking I changed somethings on the drawing like, colours and shapes. I used this by building off of other peoples ideas and changing it a bit. When one drawing was pink would change it to blue. Another thing that I did was doing something of my best work even though I didn’t get it first try. When I was drawing the circle it wasn’t to easy so it took e 3-4 tries but once it was finished it was great. I also could make my ideas work but if they didn’t work I can change my ideas.

With this drawing there wasn’t only positive things happening but also negative things were going on. I feel that I could’ve done better with a few things. Like I said I am not a great drawer but I think I still could’ve made my inside cells look a little better. I could’ve made them ore clear by having darker colouring. One of the big core competencys I could’ve done better is communication. I could’ve done better by when a friend or parent asked about what I was drawing I could’ve responded with details.

During this wood bug lab I thought that our group worked really well together. Even when there were ups and downs we could still fight through it. When someone was late we still could work through that. We were able to do all of this stuff with very good Communication. One thing I thought that I did very well was responding do questions asked my way. When a question was asked from my group members I would answer them or help them with whatever they needed.

Another thing that I thought are group did well throughout this project was coming up with ideas as we go along. When someone had a idea we would talk about it and see if it will work for what we were doing. Say I had a idea ad a partner had a idea we would discuss what idea would work better. Maybe would even use both of them.  When doing this we voted to see which is better for our project.

I thought that this was a fun project all together but I could improve in the future. In the future I will try contribute more into the group. I will do this by asking questions from the teacher if we need supplies or I can set up for our group. Another thing I can improve is doing my part better. When doing my part I had to get some help from my group mates. I would rather them do there own part and I do my part, so they can finish to.

Invention Project

When Doing my invention project I feel that we generated quite a few of ideas to show at the walk around. When we were doing our brainstorm we were able to think about what our struggles are in life and what is annoying. With these ideas that we came up with we chose the Peanut Butter Push Up. But before choosing this we had to think of how we would make it and how many people would like it, So we talked to some of our friends to see if they like it. Most of them said it was very smart and could help a lot.

Also when doing this I found that when asking other people for ideas helped. After asking others we decided to build on those with other inventions. We came up with around 10 different inventions that we could do and what is annoying for us. After that we decided to lower all of them to only have three ideas. After that we asked more people what is the best and they liked The Peanut Butter Push Up. so we decided to use it for our invention fair. overall I feel that our creative thinking was pretty good but could’ve been improved.

I feel that we could’ve done a couple of things better. One big thing that I believe is having a poster up so more people can see from far away. Not just that it would make our station look way neater. Another big thing that would’ve made our project better is actually making a real invention. Even if we didn’t make one we could’ve drew a detailed picture of what it will do. If we made it we could’ve let other people try our invention to see how annoying it really is. With my core competency creative thinking I wish that we added more detail to everything to make it look better and more creative.
