Wood bug lab

At the beginning of the semester I completed a wood bug lab to compare how wood bugs react in a wet vs a dry environment. I played wet leaves on one side of the tray and dry leaves on the other, then counted how many were on each side after a minute. I think that my partner and I had a successful outcome with this assignment because we prepared our lab out thoroughly beforehand. Our observations were insightful and we played close attention to the experiment through the whole course of the trial. Something we could have done differently is check over the criteria because there were a few points that we missed. I would also do one more trial next time to ensure my results are as accurate as possible.  My partner and I worked collaboratively to make compromises and to find ideas. Overall I am pleased with how I did and I understand how I can improve for next time.

Arctic ice cap

The Arctic ice cap project had the purpose of giving me the understanding of the rapid sea level rise, and the concern of global warming.  I furthered my understanding on how it negatively impacts the world, and the causes behind it.  In my assignment you will see how big the issue is, and you will notice ways we can prevent the melt.  By protecting the atmosphere, if we stop using fossil fuels we can make a huge difference.  If we continue to be careless, the worlds freshwater supply will decrease by a major number each year.  Overall I learned a lot a bout the Arctic Ice cap and found the project very interesting and eye opening.
