Woodbug lab
While completing this experiment I learned how to graph my data on a computer. I had never used a computer to graph so it was cool to learn how and surprisingly easy. I also learned how to share documents with the click of a button. I started to understand how much easier it is to do projects with computers. For the project I was in a group of 2 and it was very simple because we only needed 1 computer to complete the work. I used the core company “communication” because it was a partner project. I needed to use my communication skills to prepare and talk with my partner, so we would be ready for the lab. I also used my “creative thinking” to create a lab question and a good experiment. I learnt that sharing button is a valuable tool to use because you don’t physically have to be beside the other person to do the assignment.
Arctic Ice Cap
During this assignment I learnt a lot about the Earth and how the ice caps greatly effect it. It was fun and important to learn about the Earth’s sphere and how they are interconnected. While researching and watching videos I realized how quickly the arctic animals may become extinct because of global warming and the melting ice caps. This project also made me realize how the Earth’s existence may be in this generations hands and what technologies used may either save or destroy the Polar Ice Caps. This assignment required a lot of research. The hard part of researching was finding reliable sources to get information from. I learnt the most reliable sources are not always the ones at the top of the search page but the ones that end with “.org” or “.gov” Using my computer I learnt more about using Microsoft Power Point and how easy and fun it is to digitally design a project. During this project I used the core company “creative thinking” to make my powerpoint. In my power point I designed it, and spent lots of time and effort making each slide look nice.
