My name is Julia. I am 14 years old. I was born in China (Beijing). I immigrated when I was 7 years old. I have one brother, his name is George. When immigrating to Canada only my mother, father, and brother immigrated. I really like my family. I am very close to my mom because she knows me very well and understands me very well.

During my free time, I have a lot of activities that I like to do. For example, badminton, basketball, skating, hanging out with friends, shopping, and a lot more. I have been playing badminton for 3 years, I enjoy playing this sport is because my whole family plays it and I enjoy playing badminton with them. Basketball started in grade 5 when I joined the school team, and I have had practiced since then.

Since I said that I really like playing basketball. This 1h 40mins video shows some of the highest levels of basketball in China. The reason that I chose this episode was that it has all of my favorite players. Another part that I really like about this episode was many of the players had their own story to tell, and listening to the stories really helps me with my future and how I can cooperate basketball into my future.

Fashion design has been in my life for a long time. Getting into a studio for fashion design was not long ago, that was 4 months ago. Out of so many different dresses and garments, I chose this one. The reason is, my first assignment which is the one I am currently working is about Alexander Mcqueen, and this garment stood out from the crowd. Not only the dress stood out but also her makeup, it leads me into a story that Mcqueen wants us to get from just looking at the dress. I think that is so much different then what some of the designers want us to get from their garments.

Sometimes I do more than others or I try harder than others and it ends up the same but after a while, you will see the difference, and this quote explains it. This quotes also tells me to never give up on your self because it did not turn out the way you wanted it to be.

A lot of the times I go on YouTube to search for ideas, and interesting things that are going on around me. I started YouTube after I knew how to read English because I did not know English before I got here.
