Wood Bug Lab

Reflection:

When we were asked to make our own wood bug experiment, Kassia and I decided we wanted know what foods attracted them. Prior to the actual lab we made sure that we had all of the information that needed. We didn’t want to have an experiment with the answer already on the internet so we made sure we did a lot of research to make sure it hadn’t already been done. Our hypothesis explained that we thought the wood bugs would be mostly attracted to the moist bread because they live in moist weather, however most of them ended up going to the sugar.

Reflection:

This project helped me understand how fast the Earth is heating up. It makes me sad realizing how much damage we have done to all of Earths spheres. When I got this assignment I was actually really excited because this topic interests me. I made sure I did all of the research that needed to be done and that I actually had enough information to answer the questions that were given. I didn’t make up any of my own questions because I thought that ones that were given to me were already really good questions. Overall this project has taught me about the Earths spheres, how much us humans are damaging them, and that the ice melting is a real problem in our world.
