Now that we have discussed this case we are going to look at other charter cases as they relate to specific sections of the charter. You will need to get into seven (7) groups for the following activity. Each group will be assigned a case from the All About Law Textbook.

1. Multani – pg. 41
2. Canada v. JTI Macdonald Corp. – pg. 44
3. Sauve v. Canada – pg. 47
4. Rodriguez v. British Columbia – pg. 49
5. R. v. Mann – pg. 51
6. R. v. Tessling – pg. 53
7. Charkaoui v. Canada – pg. 55

You should look to, as a group, read the relevant section of the textbook (democratic rights) and be prepared to answer the questions related to the case that you were assigned. One person in the group should record the group’s answers to these questions. You will then present your case to the class and provide and explain your responses to the questions.
