About Me Paragraph
About me… I love to read, it’s something that I’ve enjoyed since I was about 7. By the time I was 9, I had read six of the Harry Potter books. Once I turned 12 I started to enjoy writing as well. I play competitive softball, and I’ve been playing softball since I was 6. I do archery when I get the chance, but I haven’t had an opportunity in a while. I live in a family of three, my mother and my brother, with three pets. I love listening to music, and my earbuds almost never leave my ears. However I’ve never been very good at actual music classes.

This quote is special to me for multiple reasons. One of these reasons is that I love music, as I said before. But more importantly, I use music as a coping mechanism. My father died when I was 9, and ever since then, music has been very prominent in my life. I use it to calm myself down, to make myself feel better, to keep me awake when needed, to make myself fall asleep. It’s very rare that I don’t have music playing.

The Great Big Sea was my father’s favourite band, and about a year before he died, I saw their concert with him at the PNE. It was technically the first real concert I ever went to, and it was an extremely enjoyable experience for both of us. It will always be a good memory that I have of him. That is why this video is important to me. It’s not necessarily from the concert we went to, but it is a video of my dad’s favourite band playing his favourite song, live.

This photo impacted me a lot. The first time I saw it, I could only think of two things. First, how unequal our world really is, and second, how brave this woman is to stand there by herself and silently protest every unwarranted death caused by the police. The fact that this woman willing did this, apparently knowing she would be arrested, is extremely inspiring

youtube is where I go when I need entertainment. I almost always end up on there when I’m on my laptop, even if it’s just to find some music to play. If I’m bored, I can always manage to find something on youtube to entertain me.
