Abby’s Pic LIT

REFLECTION:

THIS PROJECT MADE ME USE MY CREATIVE THINKING SKILLS BECAUSE TO WRITE A POEM, YOU HAVE TO DIG DEEP. WHEN I WAS IN GRADE 2 OR SOMETHING, WE USED TO READ AND WRITE POEMS IN CLASS, SO IT MADE ME REACH DEEP INTO MY MEMORIES AND BRING BACK MY POEM WRITING SKILLS. I FOUND THAT I REALLY HAD TO THINK CREATIVELY IN ORDER TO INCORPORATE ALL OF THE REQUIRED ELEMENTS INTO MY POEM (SIMILE, METAPHOR, PERSONIFICATION, ALLITERATION). IT WAS DIFFICULT TO CREATIVELY EXPRESS MY POEM TO THE PICTURE. I THINK THAT I MANAGED TO DO A GOOD JOB IN THIS REGARD. I  REALLY ENJOYED WRITING THIS POEM BECAUSE I FIND POETRY VERY INTERESTING AND AMUSING. IF I COULD IMPROVE UPON MY POEM I WOULD ADD A FEW MORE DETAILS AND MAKE IT MORE SPECIFIC.

Snowball Campaign Video

Reflection:I didn’t personally Starr in the video but I helped come up with ideas to surface it. We had to creatively think as a group to find a slogan and other things that were required in our campaign. I had to use my creative writing skills to come up with the ideas, for example the slogan was hard to think of since snowball is a bit of an unusual name, but we started rhyming and brainstorming words and we finally found it.The poster I made also required some very creative writing skills, I found it a bit difficult make since I wasn’t there when they were coming up with the ideas for our campaign and I had to do it alone without a lot of knowledge on it. Although there was difficulties it all worked out and came together at the end. If I had to do this again I would make the poster more colorful and detailed. I’m very grateful the experience I think these skills will help me in the future.

Creative Short Story

Reflection:I think I did a good job of generating ideas and putting them in paragraphs in a way that flows nicely.  of chips from the vending machine which caused us to think very creatively. This project forced me to think outside the box. The story was partially based on the book I was reading and on the French Revolution,so it caused me to dig deep into my knowledge. When we were creating this short story we had some difficulties such as we couldn’t find an object, so we got a bag of chips. Some of the ways our short story could’ve been improved are by putting the pictures in better order. We could have also added more detail to the story and we should improve time management, we should’ve  been more creative with our thinking.Other than that I think we did a pretty great job on our short story. The detail might not be enough but, quality over quantity right!
