My first blog post.
1. What are 2 essential rights you have as an active digital citizen?
As a digital citizen 2 essential rights I have are the right to keep my personal information including my image private, this is important to me because I personally don’t feel comfortable sharing things online or posting. The second one is to be known as the author of works that I have created, this is important to me because I like art and if I am to create something it would be disappointing if it got stolen.
2. What are 2 responsibilities you have in contributing to an inclusive and respectful culture online?
2 responsibilities I have in contributing to an inclusive and respectful culture online are never impersonating, posing as another person, or falsifying their identity in any way, I think this is important because pretending to be someone else and doing something bad could ruin their relationships with others while you would get no consequences, I think its unfair. Another responsibility I have is never agreeing to meet with a contact I or others have only met through using technology, I think it important to be safe in case of someone catfishing, you also shouldn’t encourage someone else to meet with an online friend just incase.
3. Explain in detail 2 ways that you plan to use your personal device responsibly in school.
2 details ways I plan to use my personal device responsibly in school are making sure I don’t have my device out during class time and am respectful towards the teacher when they are talking, this is important to me because I want to make sure I fully understand the material and am not missing any details or confused. I also think that respecting the school flex rules and phone hotel is important because I don’t want to be wasting time during flex or not following the teachers rules just because I’m lazy.
4. Explain in detail 2 examples of inappropriate use of personal devices in school
2 detailed examples of inappropriate use of personal devices in school are having your phone out during class time, this is important because you don’t want to disrespect the teacher when their talking, you also shouldn’t listen to music. you also should not be taking pictures of others without permission, it’s rude and that person may not want it.
