My First Blog Post

  1. My first right as a digital citizen is having privacy, and security. I want to have control of what I can do, though still understanding there are some thing I cannot ignore. My second right as a Digital Citizen is the understanding of my boundaries, knowing that there are times when too much is too much.
  2. My first responsibility is to respectfully listen to others, and understand their points. People have opinions, and I don’t want to be quick to judge. My second responsibility is of course, not send any hateful speech, or anything that may offend other people.
  3. The first way of using my device responsibly in school is by only using for educational purposes, not simply because I get a notification. The second way is also having my device away from my sight, so I don’t get distracted.
  4. One inappropriate way to use a device in school is using the phone to text, like a post, call, and play a game. Once you open the screen for something that isn’t for learning, it’s hard to tear yourself away from the screen. Another way is using a device while in the washroom/hallway, the teachers only allow a short break because it wouldn’t be so great if you couldn’t drink water, or use the bathroom. And more importantly, they’re kind. So by using that short break for something else, it’s betraying their kindness.
