Vocab-
I love to learn new words as I love to write. These vocabulary tests helped me immensely. It took time and patients to memorize what each word meant, now I can integrate these words into proper conversation. This activity helps me use my critical thinking. I had to ask questions about how each word can or cannot be used in a sentence. I created various different sentences with each word. I feel my vocabulary and understanding has increased.
Name test-
This definitely helped with my communication. In the beginning of the semester, our english teacher announced we would be having a test on names in the class. Good grades really motivates me so it urged me to talk to my peers and learn their names and a bit about them. At first it was very nerve wracking but overtime I started to learn everyone’s names from small group or partner activities and our seat assignments. This really helped me break out of my shell and become more comfortable with my new class.
