Making a podcast for Law 12 was my first time ever making a podcast, and it was a very interesting experience! AnchorFM is a very easy platform to use; was easy to record clips, edit clips and put them all together. Editing the podcast, a process I thought would take me hours, only took me 20 minutes! In terms of the recording process, it was definitely a learning experience. We recorded our audio with one AirPod in the hosts ear (whoever was asking the question) and the other in our guests’ ear, who was Leslie Leclair, a prosecution lawyer for the government of Canada. Unfortunately, the audio did not turn out that well. The audio from our discussion afterwards, however, was recorded from our computer and turned out a lot better. For next time, I would record everything from the computer. Something else that didn’t work out was our second guest, Doug Noll, who was California’s Lawyer of the Year in 2014. Mr. Noll was very sick the week we recorded our podcast, but he did answer our questions over email. I recorded his answers in a segment at the end of the podcast. Overall, recording the podcast was a great experience! Mr. Leclair was an awesome guest who answered our questions thoughtfully, and the end product turned out pretty decent!
