Welcome to my photography portfolio, here you will find my best photos from my assignments, but first a little bit about me.
I took photography because it is a great way to express your creativity. I love to draw, except, i’m really bad at it but with photography I find there isn’t this problem because the drawing is right in front of you, the only thing left is to decide how to interpret it and personalize it to your liking. This is the reason why I love photography so much.
This course has taught me many skills and techniques in photography and I have definitely become a better photographer compared to when I started. I also like that this course was integrated with the use of Photoshop because now I have a completely new skill that i had no experience with before this course. As for techniques I feel that I can use rule of thirds in almost all of my photos.
There were some challenging things and assignments in this course as well, one of which was getting in the groove at the start of the course. Because this class is very different and more technical than other classes it was a bit difficult at the beginning learning about the ins and outs of the cameras and Photoshop. One of the most difficult assignments I found was Avatar, in this assignment we had to transform ourselves into the Na Vi people from the movie Avatar. I think I found it difficult because it was very dependent of Photoshop, and some of the techniques that were used were quite complicated.
All in all this photography course was very fun and i plan on taking it again in the future. I am always going on outdoor trips with my dad and I think it will be very interesting putting these new found skills to use on my camera at home.
