Wood-bug core competency

Core Competencies Reflection

Here is evidence that I can… strategize, analyze, reason, estimate, model, be creative, visualize, reflect and revise, connect, use mistakes to advance learning, use technology or other tools, extend, reason logically, adapt my ideas, etc.

Core Competency: _______Critical Thinking___woodbug______

In our woodbug project, it is important to communicate with each other. It’s a team job. In the beginning, a thought popped out of my mind, woodbug will go to either the sunny side or the dark and humid side. When I told the idea to my partner, he had another idea. After the communication, we decided to experiment with one of these methods. The one that came from my mind. Most of the students in our class were doing juice experiments, so think our experiment was very creative. In the end, maybe woodbug was afraid that they didn’t move at all. They either shrank into balls or went into the dirt. In short, it’s hard to say if we actually finished the experiment or not.

Ways I want to improve are…

I need to cooperate with my partners more because it is teamwork. In the process of our experiment, I will say, “Let me come here.” I did not give my partners many opportunities to try this experiment. This is a bit selfish, I need to improve. I also need to be more confident. I will actively put forward ideas and suggestions to my partners. In future cooperation, I also need to be polite. Learn to listen to other people’s ideas. I can’t think of it as my own work. I need to work with your partners. I need to be more patient. Sometimes our ideas are inconsistent. We need to be patient to discuss them to see who’s right.
