Your digital footprint is what says the most about you and impacts your life and reputation greatly. If you don’t feel comfortable showing family, staff workers, bosses, coaches or friends you social media or photos, you most likely don’t have a clean digital footprint. A way your digital footprint can affect your future opportunities is if you post an inappropriate or illegal picture or video. If your future coach or boss sees posts of you that are inappropriate they can take those opportunities away. For example if you tweet something that could be offensive or mean to others you won’t have a good impression on your coaches or bosses and your whole future can be taken away. The second reason is your overall reputation and impression on others. People will think of you in a bad way and not have a good impression of you if what you’re posting and message impacts people in a negative way.
One way you can keep your digital footprint safe and appropriate is by googling your name once in a while to make sure what comes up is okay with you. If you find that what comes up doesn’t make you look like a good person or doesn’t give you a good reputation people will most likely get a negative impression of you. Another way is simply not taking any photos or videos of things that will ruin you future opportunities. If there aren’t any negative posts on your social medias then theres nothing that you can get in trouble for. The third way you can keep you digital footprint safe is by making sure all your social media accounts and posts are turned to private. By making sure they aren’t public will ensure that you will know everyone who will see your posts and nobody else besides those people will be able to view you account.
I would tell others that they should be careful what they post and to make sure that they won’t be regretting what they uploaded later on. I’m glad that I’ve learned about all the consequences from posting inappropriate things to the internet and how badly it can affect your whole future. From this information I’ve learned, I will always think twice before uploading anything and make sure my digital footprint is appropriate and safe for everyone to see.

Good job on completing your Digital Footprint assignment. Here is your evaluation: Message shows a good understanding of your digital footprint. Media works well with your message – you need to ensure that the sources of all of your pictures are cited. Good information present; answers are typical and accurate. The final product is received by the audience but does not illicit a further response to be shared with the outside world.
