Reflection:

  1. What was your favorite part of the day? Was there anything that you found interesting or surprising?

My favorite part of the day was walking in and meeting everyone at the job. Everyone was so friendly, and the workspace was really cool. Something I found surprising was that the office building and section that I was in was very modern.

  1. Give 2 reasons why you like this job (be specific):

One reason I like this job is that it seems very social. Everyone seems so close and it is like they are all one big family. Another reason I like this job is that you get to work with money. I, like most people, really like money and investing that money in strategy to make more of it seems like such a fun and cool thing to do.

  1. Give 2 reasons why you might not like this job (be specific):

I might not like this job because you have to sit around all day, and I would not like that because sitting down for too long makes me feel lazy and I do not like that feeling. Another reason I might not like this job is the stress of it. If you have this job, people look up to you, and for me that would be incredibly stressful.

  1. Is this job for you? Why or why not?

I think it could be because it fits into what I think would be fun for a job, but at the same time I don’t think I would pursue this job as of right now because obviously I’m in ninth grade, but also I don’t think it would be for me because you have to be on a laptop all day every day.

  1. How is technology and digital literacy used in this job?

Technology is used in this job because everything you do is on technology, calling people, reading emails, trading stocks, everything you can do with this job, it is online. Digital literacy is used in this job because when you read things online about what to trade, you must check if this is a real and trustworthy site. You cannot just blindly put money into anything without research.

  1. Explain the value of your TOKW experience in relation to your ideas about your plans after high school

The value of TOKW in relation to my ideas about my plans after highschool is very important. In my opinion, you should not do something people tell you to do for your job, I think that you should get a job that you know that you will like. Therefore, it’s important that you go around exploring different types of jobs for your future, because you never know what you’ll like until you try it. This is a good start or even steppingstone to explore what I’d like for my future.
