The presentation and the movie that we watched/listened to taught us what happened in Rwanda and all about the genocide. The presentation was presented by someone that was in the genocide and had family members die. The movie was a reenactment of real events, it told a story about some one who started off being trusted by the army and the Hutus, but when the Hutus found out that Paul(main person in the movie) was caring for and sheltering Tutsis, they did not like it and started to try to kill him. Personally I think that the genocide was so horrible as there was no real reason to kill each other. So many children died and so many became orphans. I hope that something like this never happens again. In conclusion the movie showed the class what it is like not growing up with all of your basic needs and the presentation made it feel even more real because we had someone that survived the genocide talk about it. I think something like this will happen with all the current events happening around the world. Things like Isis are the closes that I think we have to a genocide on earth right now.
