The Bill of Rights, 1689 (revised in 2019):

Self(ie)- Portrait:

Short Paragraph:

In my self(ie)-portrait, it shows that we can all do what we love. Back in the times of the Stuart kings, nobody was able to grow their talents to their full potential.  No playwrights, actors, musicians were able to pursue their passion publicly. As a young, passionate student in the modern day, I strongly feel that everyone should have the chance to explore new things and be able to show the world what they love.

I am not looking at the camera in the picture, but you can see that my facial expressions seem positive, happy, and light-hearted. The one thing that I really wished people in England were able to experience is true happiness and the freedom to do what they want.

I am also looking out to something farther. This represents the possibility of our future!

Take Your Kid to Work Day 2018

Describe your first two months at Heritage Woods. Have your first two months met your expectations? Why or why not? List and describe in detail three pieces of advice that you might offer to students of your former middle school who are entering Heritage next year? (Include images to assist you in explaining your points.

My first two months at Heritage were very fun, and it has exceeded my expectations in some ways and not the others. The people here were much nicer than what I’d expected (as stereotypical high schoolers aren’t that welcoming, and nice). Of course, there were some who decided to target the Grade 9’s because we are the younger ones.

Even though Heritage Woods is- somewhat- older of a school, I still really liked the architecture. As I am in Photography 9, it particularly strikes me as a beautiful environment. We can take very unique pictures and discover other beautiful parts of the building. The other schools that I had been enrolled in weren’t half as unique as Heritage.

Describe your ideal school in a post – what would you change from what you have experienced to date at Heritage Woods? What would the building look like, the courses offered and the style of learning – do you like the present style or would you like more choice? Include images to help you explain your points.

My ideal school is one where everyone is respected and treated with full respect. I have encountered scenarios where I just said something and people got “triggered” for no reason at all. It would be great for people to try to understand what others actually meant first.

My second wish is for people to be more inclusive. Yes, in most schools it’s in the school code. But does it really happened in most schools? No. Even though when you ask if you can join a group they say yes, you can clearly see that they would respond with a no if they were allowed to. It is also very annoying when people are just being rude and throwing swear words around when they don’t know that the ones they are harming are actually themselves.

Research a career that you are interested in pursuing in the future. Why are you passionate about this career and what does the work entail? What qualifications and/or education will you need to pursue this career? Include images to help you explain your points.

My idea future career would be to a cardiovascular surgeon. I want to pursue this career because my favourite subject in school has always been Science. I didn’t think that much about what this career entails, but I can think of many, many reasons that I want to pursue this career.

First of all, people will treat you with respect. To be a cardiovascular surgeon, you will need to continue to learn and study for more than 15 years after graduating from high school!

Second of all, being a cardiovascular surgeon is very rewarding personally, as you have the ability to save someone’s life! It might be traumatizing when a patient is lost underneath your hands, but I think that the pros overweigh that.

Last but not least, the salary of cardiovascular surgeons are very high. And wouldn’t everyone want a stable life and future? And also, in most careers, the older you get, the less value you have. This certainly isn’t true for surgeons. The older you are, the more experienced you are, and the more patients you’ll have lining up to see you!
