Core Compencies Reflection
This is my self assessment of my core competencies. I chose to display my creative thinking, using www.wordclouds.com to make a word collage. Included in my collage are creative methods I use to study, such as color, maps, games, drawing and activities. The shape of my word collage is a smiley face because I am always excited to learn, when a teacher teaches in a creative way! I chose to color the words in my favourite colors; sky blue, magenta, orange-red, and lime green!

My name is Jewel Lew. I go to Heritage woods and i’m in grade 9. I previously went to summit middle school. My favourite hobbies are cooking, baking, volleyball and going
outside. I also like to play soccer and n field hockey. For soccer I play for port moody MSL our team name is Velocity. I have been playing soccer for 9 years. I play spring league field hockey for the tri city eagles. our team name is the Raptors. I have been playing field hockey for 9 years on my sister’s team. Everyday except Saturdays I play either soccer or field hockey. It is lots of fun. I also referee soccer during the fall and field hockey during the spring.

I like this quote because it is inspirational. It means the harder the task, the more happy you’ll be when you succeed. I could use this quote as an inspiration to finish something that I find really challenging or to motivate myself to play really good against a hard team in soccer or field hockey.

Netflix is my favourite website because I like to watch shows and movies. It is also a great website because it has a great selection of things to watch for example movies/television shows for all ages and interest. Netflix is also on my phone so I’m able to bring it where I go. It also allows you to download moves and show and that is convenient when I travel without wifi. Netflix has many great things to like about it, that is why it is my favourite website.

I like this video because it is inspirational. It says to believe in your self, be confident and to achieve anything you set your mind to. This video is good because sometimes in life you need to try really hard at things that you think you can’t do, being confident will change your mindset into a “I can do anything” mindset. It is important to believe in yourself because when you don’t you cannot achieve anything. When you set your mind to something the chances of completing or achieving that thine is much better. That is why I like tis video, in reminds you to believe, be confident and achieve.
This is a plane. It has affected me because it affected my family’s heritage. My mom came on a plane to Canada and my dad’s parents also came on a plane to Canada. I also like planes because I travel on them to go on vacation. Vacation is fun. if planes were never created then my parents/family could not have came to Canada and I would not exist. Travel would also be really slow so traveling to tropical places would not be a good option for vacation.
