Introduce yourself
My name is Jorge, I’m an international student from Madrid, Spain, and I’m 15 years old, and I came to Canada for a year to study. My favourite sport is skiing. I’ve been skiing since I was 3, and I also like soccer, which is very popular in Spain. On my free time, I like to hang out with my friends, and play sports with them. My goal this year, is to have fun in Canada, get good marks and learn a lot English, so that I I can go to a university in US or Canada.
My favourite quote
This quote, is very important to me. I chose Albert Einstein’s quote because I really like Einstein’s way to thinking. I think he realized how humans actually are, we are a very simple race, so we’re constantly judging people. Many people have a lot of good things that we don’t know, because we only focus on the weakness of people. The example of the fish is a really good one. On one hand, if you ask someone what bad qualities a fish have you will get a lot of answers (bad memory, not very useful for our lives), but on the other hand, if you ask someone what good things has a fish, nobody will answer you for sure.
My favourite Youtube clip
This video of the goal of Spain in the final world cup is very important for me because this it represents my country, and also represents how things that are far of your possibilities can be always reached it, if you work them hard. And this really represents me because one of my goals is to be determined in life.
My favourite website
Youtube is very important in my life, on my free time I spend most of my time watching Youtube videos, but I don’t only use Youtube for having fun, I also use it to learn new things, if I have any questions with any subjects, then I use Youtube for solving my questions, there’s a lot of tutorials that make my life easier. Also If I don’t know how to do something, like to solve an issue in your computer, then I use Youtube.
Image that impact me
This image really impacts me, because represents how people are suffering, they don’t have water, or food to live. And, however, other countries waste their money with unnecessary things while there’s people in the world dying and the politicians of important countries don’t care of the situation and they only think about the economic of their country. Therefore inequality in the world, is an important issue, and I wonder why other countries don’t help others, it’s inhuman.
