Core Competency Reflection
As our first formal essay in English, we were instructed to write a five paragraph essay about ourselves. This five paragraph essay made me critically think about my personal experiences and how they connected to and shaped my life. One of these experiences that I had written about in my essay was a trip to Hong Kong. In this trip, I reflected on this experience and how it made me appreciate the calmer lifestyle here in Canada. One of the suggestions that my teacher made, was that I needed to explain these scenarios further and include more imagery. I agreed wih his ssuggestion because I found that what I wrote did not fully incorporate what I intended to convey. For instance, when addressing my trip to Hong Kong, I didn
