Since I was young I have always enjoyed reading and writing. Every year I always try to grow as a reader and a writer. This year will be like a first real English class. In middle school, you do essays and speeches but it’s not the same as a core English class. This year I would really like to add more structure to my writing. By doing that my writing will be much clearer and it will make more sense to read. I would also like to learn more about poetry. Poetry is almost as if its a different language. I feel that poetry is a great skill to have grown up and in the future, it can benefit you in a lot of ways.

My number one problem is punctuation. I feel confused when it comes to commas, apostrophes etc. If I can strengthen these few things I feel that I can become a pretty good writer.  When I have written essays in the past I find that its the little things that cause me the most trouble. For example punctuation, grammar, and organization.  Once I have tweaked my writing style a bit i feel that all my writing will change.
