Positive Personal and Cultural Identity and Critical Thinking Reflection

Reflecting back on my essay I think this project was very fascinating. When you reflect back on yourself and your values it really shows you a new perspective. It gave me a new respect for my family, my friends and everything my community has to offer. This was the first essay of the year and there are many more to come but I feel that I did a pretty good writing this essay.  Considering that I didn’t write a lot last year I think that this was a good attempt at my first high school essay.  I know that my weakness is punctuation so I tried to implement some of the skills that Mr. Bell has already taught me.   I used my personal strengths and abilities to make a decent essay. I do not believe that I am a great writer but I think that I am pretty good at writing about personal stories. I wrote about what I value in my life which includes Sports, family, friends and my culture.  I was able to develop an essay written in the first person and design into an essay. I had to brainstorm different ideas and thoughts for my body paragraphs. I literally had to make a brainstorming sheet. Overall, I am happy with my final copy and I think I did a pretty good job.
