1. Short Stories Creative Thinking Challenge

There are three fonts that are used in this presentation: Angeline Vintage, Herculanum, and SignPainter. (These fonts are not appearing but I have used!) Also, for the slides 3 and 6, there should be video clips playing but not working online. In slide 3, someone is picking the key up and in slide 6, someone is shaking her hand.
Reflection
As I worked on this assignment with my partner, Dahna, I have got to be more creative on coming up with some new ideas and thoughts. On the first day of the project, we went out to find the substance for our project and found the 2mm long cylinder (I will call it cylinder since I cannot find the word to put instead) which we named as ‘the magic wheel.’ I believe that that was the great beginning of this project – we came up with a creative name for that tiny cylinder!(I personally like that name a lot, too.) Although we struggled a bit with brainstorming and making the storyline(a plot, settings, conflicts, and etc.) we have it done fairly well after all. Lastly, I want to tell the readers that our theme of this story is not focused on the magic wheel, is more focused on the friendship and the betrayal.

Magic wheel

Jennifer is the only person who can fly, go through cars when there is a traffic jam, shrink the car to the size of a penny, and not get wet in the rain, snow, and hail. To facilitate all these actions, she needs the magic wheel. The wheel always creates a protection around the car so its owner is safe from everything. Jennifer has given her best friend Bianca the second magic key which can facilitate the powers of the magic wheel. She helps random people who are in the rain, snow, or hail without umbrellas by using the magic wheel. About two months ago she saved her elderly neighbour who was having a heart attack and brought him to the hospital right away. Although the traffic was extremely long, she was able to go to the hospital fast by going through the cars using the magic wheel. By the way, Bianca discriminated people who couldn’t use the magic wheel and she always showed off the magic wheel and the key to everyone.
One day when Jennifer was downstairs watching a movie Bianca left saying she was going to go to the washroom, but instead, she went into Jennifer’s room looking for the magic key and wheel. She had to start looking fast because she didn’t have much time since Jennifer might get suspicious if she was gone for too long. Bianca saw the key on Jennifer’s desk she grabbed it and stuffed it into her pocket, she looked everywhere but she couldn’t find the magic wheel. It was no use she wasn’t going to find it so she decided to leave before Jennifer came upstairs. As Bianca stepped out of Jennifer’s room, her phone started ringing so she answered.
“Hey babe,” said Bianca.
“Did you kill Jennifer yet? You need to kill her to possess the magic wheel, if you don’t kill her and bring me the magic wheel by tonight I’ll leave you for someone who can, and remember this is gonna make us so rich” answered Jake.
“No please don’t. I’ll do it. I love you so much.”
“Okay then see you tonight bye.”
Bianca then received a text from Jennifer saying to come over to her house for dinner which she replied with I’d love to since that was the perfect time to kill her. She got ready quickly grabbed her knife and drove all the way to Jennifer’s house. Jennifer let her in but then went back to the kitchen to put the finishing touches on dinner, and that’s when Bianca took out her knife from her bag and stabbed her in the chest. Jennifer screamed in horror and so did Bianca from seeing the blood gushing out of Jennifer’s chest. At that moment, a rush of regret went through Bianca’s body. As Jennifer’s lifeless body collapsed on the floor, Bianca stepped back in horror with tears streaming down her face.
After a few minutes of just staring at Jennifer’s lifeless body, she got up and went to her car and rushed all the way to Jake’s house. She went to the front door and knocked as loud as she could. He opened the door and said, “why are you crying?”
“I killed her and it was the biggest mistake of my life,” said Bianca.
“You cannot reverse it though, calm yourself,” said Jake grabbing Bianca’s shaky arm.
“Let’s just destroy the wheel. Can’t you see this is only going to cause nothing but pain?”
“Why would you do that? You little brat” said Jake
Bianca slapped him which made him punch her knocking her down to the ground. Jake then tried to look for the key and magic wheel in her pocket and as self-defence, Bianca took the knife out of her pocket and stabbed him in the head which killed him instantly. She took the key and magic wheel out of her bag and stared at them with unfocused eyes.
“I shouldn’t have started this in the first place,” she whispered.
