Hey everyone I’m Katelyn and welcome to my blog. I figured I’d start off by telling you guys a little bit about me. I started dancing when I was 2 years old and to this day still enjoy it. I used to attend circus school classes where I did trapeze and silks but over the years have gained other interests. I even tried kickboxing for the first time this year but haven’t had the interest to regularly attend classes. Another thing that I’ve always enjoyed is art. Although I don’t find drawing to be relaxing I do find it fulfilling once I complete a piece of art that I am proud of.

“We met for a reason, you’re either a blessing or a lesson.” This quote was written by Frank Ocean and I think that it really spoke to me because of its powerful meaning. No matter who you cross paths with in life, It’s always for a reason. Friends could turn out to be toxic in which case they would be a lesson. Or they may prove to always have your back in which case they’re a blessing.

My favourite YouTube clip is from Youtuber named AzzyLand who published a video back in the beginning of this year titled “HILARIOUS PHOTOSHOP FAILS You Won’t Believe Happened.” Although the video was clearly intended to be funny, I also took away some valuable lessons from it. Photoshop was not designed to hide your true identity by making your breasts look bigger but instead was intended for artists to learn about new ways to edit or change non-appearance related photos. By all means if your looking to clear up your skin with a little editing magic go right ahead but that doesn’t mean you should go as far as to give yourself a virtual nose job. The video just proves itself that if you’re going to Photoshop at least learn how to do it right.

My favourite website is Google for quite obvious reasons. I use it in my everyday life whether it’s just to answer a quick question that comes across my mind or if I want to see what’s new with some of my favourite celebrities or influencers.

The image above is a picture of the Titanic back from 1912. I chose this picture to represent an event that has impacted me because my great grandmother was on the boat behind it when it was hit by an ice berg. Her and her family were trying to escape from Russia and take the Titanic to Canada but luckily the boat was fully booked and they had to take the next boat leaving after it. Although I don’t know the name of the boat she was on I do know that her and everyone else on her boat watched the Titanic sink while throwing rafts from their boat out to people in the water. She lost many people she knew that day and if she had happened to be on the Titanic herself, chances are I wouldn’t be here today.
