At the end of the course, we were given two optional assignments that we could accomplish. I chose to do the scavenger hunt where we were tasked to go out and shoot 20 photos with the appropriate theme in a matter of three days. It was quite the challenge, but I was up for it. I had a lot of fun with this project because I got to spend the whole Saturday with my dad. We drove around town on the search for the different categories I had to shoot. We visited the beach, the market, as well as the park. It was quite the adventure taking photos of everything in eyes sight.
I am very glad that I did this assignment because it proved to me that you don’t need the most expensive, finest camera to take a good photograph. You also don’t need editing. The scavenger hunt project required no editing at all, which was honestly hard to bear because I love editing my work. However, like I said, this was a challenge and if I was going to do it, I was going to challenge myself to the full extent.
Below, you can see six of my favourite images that came out of this assignment.
