What I wanna Learn in Grade 10
Throughout the years of school, I have never been a great writer. I’ve always put in my best work and am hoping that this could be the year I get the hang of writing, or in other words become a better writer in general. In this time span, I would like to put forward a wider vocabulary so that it is easier to expand on topics. I’ve started to read more to work my way up to this goal. Speaking of reading, I’d really like to improve my speed and understanding when reading a book. I’m not saying that reading slowly is a bad thing, but I feel I would get things done faster. This would result in me being able to spend more time on the/a response. Reading gives me more ideas for topics. I view the topic as a critical thing when writing because it’s the base for everything else. If you do not have a great topic, you have nothing to write. At this moment, I’m actually struggling to write more, so if it seems like I’m blabbing on, that’s why. My favorite part of writing is stories. Either short or long I like to write them because of the endless ideas and limitless length. Poetry is also something I’d like to expand on because of the catchy rhyming and details, plus it’s fun! One thing I’m really not looking forward to is Shakespeare. When it comes to remembering phrases, I struggle from stage fright and the overwhelming eyes, but hopefully, I will become better at that when we get to it. Overall, I am looking forward to a successful year in this class.
