This is the link to my wood-bug project.
Reflection:
We were asked to invent our own experiment using a well-known app, Microsoft word. I have used Microsoft Word for many years and am very familiar with it, so adding pictures and a few paragraphs were a piece of cake. The benefit of using this app was that it made the process so much faster. Imagining myself writing this all out and printing/drawing all the pictures would literally kill me. Mentioned before, this was not a hard assignment and I knew I was capable of doing it, so this didn’t teach me much about myself because I already knew. This was also a group project as well and I worked well with my group. Communication was smooth between us and we all pitched in to do our parts. Even though this assignment was at the start of the year and we didn’t know anyone, finding someone you did know and working well with them was going to be hard. Our group, on the other hand, worked just fine and learned new things about each other during the process. I used critical and creative thinking when coming up with the experiment choice. Our experiment was going to be, “How long a wood bug can hold their ball form”, but that ended up failing, so we needed to make smart decisions on whether to keep the idea or start over. I was proud of what we did in the end. Although there were minor problems, our group pushed passed the past and moved forward.
