2. What is your job description? He is responsible for developing, marketing and selling a new finance analytics solution for the Finance Buyer.

5. What are some of the things you like about the job? He likes that the company lets him work independently to create a new product, he likes working in a collaborative team environment where everyone has similar goals in mind.

 

6. What are some of the things you dislike about this job? The thing he dislikes about his job is the fact that all resources are focused on the products that exist already whereas, he works on a product that is still in development thus, he does not get the resources he needs to build the product.

 

7. How do you anticipate this job changing in the next 5 years or so? 5 years is a long time when working for a technology company and his role may be very different 5 years from now. He expects that his Finance product would be produced and available on the market within the next 5 years.

2. Give three reasons why you would not like this job (be specific):    a) I wouldn’t like this job because I wouldn’t like working with technology b) Because the average day is meeting after meeting c) Also because it’s too far away.
3. Is this job for you? Why or why not?  I would not like to work at Visier in the future because I don’t like the idea of having meeting after meeting every day. while t may work for some people I would rather work in an environment where I can do more hands on activities.

4. Explain the value of the TYKTW experience in relation to your ideas about your post secondary (after high school) plans (education?, training?, travel?, work?).  The value of taking your kid to work day is so that you get to learn what it’s like to work in a work environment so you know later what kind of space you would like to work in. it provides you with real life understanding of different functions in a work environments and allows you to get first hand feedback from people in the work place.
