Core Competency Reflection:

During this project I feel that I used the core competency “critical thinking” the most. I think this because I used it to develop and design a sway that I though made my essay look more visually appealing. Nevertheless, this was my very first time using sway so I did have difficulties in figuring out how to use it. Sadly I am not satisfied with the way my paragraphs are displayed but try as I might I could not find a way to work that out. I did not only use critical thinking to design this project, i had to analyze my essay to figure out which points and paragraphs I wanted in between the pictures on this sway. Using my judgement skills I separated my essay into parts that I felt best suited this presentation. I wanted to make sure that everything made sense and had a good flow. As I kept editing I was constantly critiquing my work to see if i could make any further improvements. Another core competency I used was “creative thinking”. I used this when I was coming up with ideas on how I could put my essay into a sway and make it presentable. I also used creative thinking when I was developing those ideas and actually using them. This involved some trial and error because some things did not work as well as others, but in the end it turned out well in my opinion.
