Lillian’s Animal Farm Video

Core Competency Reflection:

During this assignment I used creative thinking by generating and developing ideas. I worked hard to try and come up with a campaign script. This was a lot harder than I thought because I had to think of what a good campaign video would look like and then take into consideration everything that Boxer stands for. I was generating ideas one by one to slowly add to the script, although it was a slow process I feel like it helped me spot plot holes in the campaign. When it came to developing those ideas things got a little more complicated. It was hard to find ways to fit the ideals of animalism and Boxer in a campaign script. After talking with my group we problem solved and came up with more ideas to make the script better. We also had to come up with ideas on how to create a video that made sense with our campaign and was interesting. To me this part was harder than writing the script but luckily my group was willing to help and we tried to add in facts while still having a lighthearted fun video. The overall mood of the video was very important because we had to make it seem like it was Boxer’s campaign and not something we made up for him (although we did). To achieve this we included silly videos of Sophia and I playing in the “pasture” so the video wasn’t to serious. It was the generation of ideas like these in collaboration with my group members that helped complete this project.
