Presentation reflection:

The presentation we saw on the Rwandan genocide was very interesting because she told us how she grew up and how she was there for every bit of the horrific event and I found it fascinating how she couldn’t evacuate and had to go through that and is willing to talk about the horrific event with so much passion. The fact that she had a family of six and only three survived was very heart breaking for me.

Movie reflection:

I think that the movie really cleared up a lot about the different clans like the Huti ad the Tutsi. Also, it was very emotional at the same time and really emphasized how violent and brutal that point in time was. The fact that most families in Rwanda had to go through that horrific time was quite shocking to me. What most interested me was when the parents got on the bus and had to leave their children behind and just the thought of that is very scary.
