Fur Trade Recruitment poster

for this project, my partner and I made a recruitment poster for the voyagers looking to work for the North West company in the 18th to the 19th century. My contribution to this project consisted of giving my partner notes to expand upon them when writing/drawing the poster and I also colored the map. When coloring the map I decided to color it in red and blue because the flag had a British flag in it along with the rest of the flag red. when I was initially coloring the ocean I didn’t check what was the land and what was the ocean so they came out reversed. One creative decision we decided to add was the river with the canoe. The canoe was supposed to symbolize the voyagers using the canoes to transport the fur they sold. doing this poster has led me to a new understanding of my skills and my abilities in the way that my ideas for posters have been more creative in the form of drawings, when i learned that this poster was supposed to be on the fur trade i thought of the idea to add the North West Company flag next to the map of where the event took place.

in my opinion i feel that with this project i took creative thinking in mind because i decided to go digital with the safety poster. the reason i decided to go digital with this project was because i don’t like drawing nor do i like messes. while doing this project i took different safety precautions in mind like safety goggles, when i put safety goggles on my project i decided to put a picture of the safety strategy onto the word document along with a detailed example of why you would need to use the safety strategy in the form of a slogan. in conclusion i feel like my creative processes have grown here and that i’ve learned to improvise  creatively when it comes to showing information on a poster
