communication: We all used communication, to find a responsible, fun, creative way to share our thoughts, ideas and information found. All three of us, communicated in and outside of school, we had to talk about my research and editing. I also used critical thinking to find all of the information/facts and be able to put them in the script, I also used critical thinking to edit and “perfect” our project. For editing I used both critical and creative to find a fun, entertaining, interesting way to get the information across to the listener. For the most part I believe the project outcome was a success. Reflecting back on this project, I realized how much more we could have taken it, without just communicating in school and the odd text about it. We should have planned a time we could get together and talk about what is needed or what could be added to our project to make it that much better. My group and I really did communicate well in class but it would have been nice to communicate all around. Another thing we communicated about was to fill out the “refection of this project” sheet we were given in class. We also communicated with the audience to share our project and show the research behind the final project. We developed each others ideas, and found ways to better each others findings. We planned the projects outcome by talking about what we all needed to achieve, and what each persons weakness and strength to separate the work load in-between us all. I learned that communicating with your peers and teacher, can lead to a better project overall. This project helped me realize, that asking for help is sometimes necessary and can help me better my work and my attitude toward the project at hand.
Nolan: happy monday everyone! Stay tuned to hear all about the reign of terror, next up on grand radio station 78.6
(pause)
Sneh: Hello were coming live from grand radio station 78.6, thanks for tuning in; my name is Zelemini and I’m here with Penelope, and Deemo. today we will be talking to you about the horrible reign of terror.
Morgan: the reign of terror was an 11-month period of time in France were terror was everywhere It began September 5, 1793 and ended July 27, 1794.
Sneh: So, what was the reign of terror? Please I’d love to know all about it
Morgan: well Zelemini the reign of terror was where people were executed if they believed in the kings‘ ideas, or talked about the revolution slightly wrong. It began with the execution of the king and continued throughout Paris France. Robespierre a lawyer and politician believed “the order of the day.” Was to bring fear to the civilians’ eyes.
Sneh: wow that sounds scary. I heard that jean- Paul Marat had something to do with it?
Morgan: yes, he did, he wrote angry newspapers about the kings, and wrote lists of allies to the royalties who would be next to the guilletine.
Sneh: Marat was killed in a bathtub by charlotte Corday, a young royalist sympathizer, she believed that by killing him others wouldn’t all have to die. Marat and Robespierre worked together to create fear within the eyes of France.
Morgan: that’s all true, why don’t we check in with Deemo, in the center of Paris, right after this commercial break.
(commercial) Nolan: He’s the reason I take Friday afternoon walks. He’s the sunshine of my mornings, and the excitement in my evenings. He loves me unconditionally. For all those moments and more, I feed my dog Ruffus, all-natural dog bones. With no artificial colors or flavors. I know that I’m taking care of him as well as he takes care of me. If my dog is a good boy I toss him a treat.
Nolan: Oh, hey there, its Deemo. I’m standing in front of the guilletine, in Paris, France. It’s a beautiful day in July, just the day after Maximilian Robetspiere was arrested, he’s with me, tied up and ready to be executed.
Sneh: Hi Deemo, it’s so great to be meeting you, I’ve listened to your radio shows for years.
Nolan: that’s great to know. So I hear you were arrested just yesterday?
Sneh: yes, I was arrested yesterday, I tried to shoot myself so I wouldn’t have to go through the public humiliation, but instead I shattered my jaw.
Nolan: oh that’s horrible, I recommend not shooting your jaw to everyone listening, it looks painful. Tell me about your childhood and how you grew up?
Sneh: I was born in Arras, France, on May 6, 1758, I was the oldest of four children. My mother past away when I was only 6 years old, and my father left the four of us soon after. I was educated in Paris, graduating from the Lycée Louis-le-Grand and earning a law degree in 1781.
Nolan: oh wow that’s so sad. can you please explain to me, what are some of your most prized achievements as a lawyer or politician?
Sneh: my father was a lawyer, and he was my role model before he left us. At a young age I knew that was wanted to do, I just didn’t know I would get so much fame around my ideas. But my biggest acheivments, obviously being into the public safety during the revolution was amazing. Being allected into the convention in 1794. And being allected Estates general of the French legisture at the age of 30, and a couple small cases from being a lawyer.
Nolan: wow that’s a lot to be proud of. how did you earn your well known nickname: incruptable?
Sneh: haha obviously people aren’t calling me that now, cause I’m alive but after my death that name came out. The name was just formed over the years, I was an incurruptable indevidual, I was an activist, I wanted change in the political french monarachy. I guess that name just came to be.
Nolan: you talk a lot about being the unofficial leader of the committee of public safety during the French revolution, what was that like?
Sneh: my team and I managed to control the revolutionary governement . We could literally oversee everything, we had unofficial control, but I was a dictator. I had control, I loved feeling as if I had a voice during this time.
Nolan: what were your ideas behind the revolution?
Sneh: I wanted the people in france to be scared, with fear comes change, France wouldn’t be the way it is today, without me, Marat, and our ideas.
Nolan: so, tell me why did you think by making people scared they’ll listen to you?
Sneh: they do, people want a leader, I just happened to have ideas, we needed change and I gave that to you. Turns out you need 40,000 heads disatached to create a revolution. Ha-ha- ha
Nolan: okay thank you so much Robespierre, hope your jaw feels better
(guilletine noise)
Nolan: ( act nervous or scared) okay, and back to you.
Morgan: thanks, Deemo, and thanks to you for tuning in, see you next week at this time.
Sneh: This was Zelemini, Deemo, Penelope at grand radio station 78.6
3.5 – You have made a good start in posting your assignment. You have added a reflection which is based around the core competencies but could add more information/explanation describing the process by which this assignment has led you to a new understanding of your skills and abilities. I like that you added a transcript. Choose only one core competency.
4.5– Good work. You have integrated your media into your page and have done a very good job on your reflection. You have made attempts to incorporate the language of the core competencies into your write up and have considered your development and growth as a learner in completing this assignment.
