In Social Studies, during our Human Geography Unit, we were told to compare a developing country with a developed country. My partner and I chose Yemen and the United Kingdom. During this project, we were forced to think critically about the issues facing our developing country and why they have a lower quality of life. We learned many things we didn’t know while working on this and we realized how different life is when you don’t live in a developed country. We also had to figure out how they could potentially solve the issues facing the country. This was very difficult for my partner and I because we had no idea how to fix famine or disease outbreaks. This project made me think hard and carefully about how lucky I am to be living in a country with a high quality of life.
