Working on this project made us use a lot of the core competencies. Firstly, we had to think creatively. We had to figure out how we were going to make our scene original and outside the box. This was challenging because even though we were allowed to get creative it still had to follow the basic storyline of our scene. We couldn’t change the characters or the plot points very much so we had to use creative thinking to figure out how to best show our understanding of the play in a creative way. We also used communication. Since this was a group project, we had to make sure every member of the group was speaking their mind and was feeling heard. Our group was 6 people which was one of, if not the, largest group in the class. This made things slightly difficult at times as some members had conflicting ideas. Despite this, we realized that by communicating in a respectful manner, we were able to truly understand each person’s ideas and point of view. Communication was key to our success on this project.
