Water Cycle Comic
My Comic:

Communication:
I used communication to get the information in the water cycle that we had to include across. I wanted it to be like and actual comic, a story. I had to find a way to casually slide in the scientific words into that format in a way people could still notice and understand. I wanted to communicate what stages the drop was going through and their adventures without making it like it was. My drops were human and to explain their condensation and precipitation I didn’t just make them fall. To get extra information across (my character was not a whole drop, but a water molecule) I had the molecules be pushed together for condensation and join hands into a water droplet. I used conversation and communication skills to get that across.
I think I added too much story/plot stuff into the comic, which may have made the scientific information blend into it, and maybe disappear. I should have focused more on the scientific information to make the communication clear. I’ll work on focusing on getting the important information across.

Critical Thinking:
We used the HBC colours but slightly brighter to make it pop but also to show what the poster was about from far away. We put pictures of fur to show what it was an ad for. We wanted the HBC stripes at the top and the bottom to frame it, which makes it look more like a poster and makes it more aesthetically pleasing. We planed an generated our ideas but sketching plans on a couple papers for a rough draft before we did the good copy. We had to adjust our productivity part way through, because in the beginning we went slower and took more time on the small things, then went faster later to get it finished. This shows we can manage our time and keep track of our progress.
I think we could have used bigger and nicer printing, looked up fonts that would draw attention. We used Latin for our slogan, since that’s what they did for slogans back then, but to be memorable and draw attention we should have done a rhyming, English slogan. We forgot to put our sources on the poster, so that wasn’t very critical thinking like.

Creative Thinking
My goal for this video was to make it entertaining and comedic for the viewers as well as getting the information across without their eyes glazing over. I believe I succeeded with that. The script was creative in telling the story with funny lines like ‘are you doubting you king’ and the person replies ‘coff coff yes’ to show the Americans didn’t like the king. I also used words like ‘Beaver Man’ ‘Eh’ and accents to tell who was on what side. I also used creative thinking for the ‘snow’ since the battle was in a blizzard. I shook a pine needle branch to make the needles fall and in the camera it looked like snow. The editing I did was also creative with how I used effects, captions, and cuts to get the image across.
My choreography for the fight could have been more interesting and planned to show how the fight actually went down. i got a little bored at one especially long part. I only had about three creative moves the rest was really just stick whacking. The way the camera angles were, were not very creative either.

Critical Thinking:
I used Critical Thinking to come up with my analysis by thinking back on past experiments and what we have learned so far in science to understand how circuits works and make a correct hypothesis. When a lightbulb wouldn’t turn on I used critical thinking to try to adjust the connection so the electrons could pass through easier. I learned a lot and I believe I can use this information to use Critical Thinking on future experiments.
Ways I could improve in this area is that when a lightbulb was not screwed in I did not know and I tried to improve the connection, but that was not the problem. I should have used observational Critical Thinking skills to notice that when the lightbulb was pushed down it turned on a bit and come to the conclusion that the lightbulb was not touching the metal becausee it needed to be screwed in farther.

My Identity Essay Sway
Reflection:
Here is evidence that I understand that my identity is made up of my many values. I know that without these I wouldn’t be me because it affects my emotions. I showed this by explaining that I make my decisions based on my beliefs. Gender equality reflects my strengths because I work hard at what I do and i do this because I am not happy until I put in my fullest effort and because I want to show that I can do it. I explained what my values were and how I know this. Art is another one of my strengths because it is a talent, and it got me a job teaching at an art studio. A way I can improve is at finding how my values are also my weaknesses. I can also improve at writing reflections, I kind of struggled at writing this and making my own while following the template.
