Hi, my name is Pimmat Chatvichai. I’m from Thailand, and you can call me BamBam. I’m a grade 11 student at Heritage Woods Secondary in Canada. This is my first time studying abroad and staying far from my family and friends. My favourite subject is Mathematics because I’m quite bad at memorizing and math doesn’t have much things to memorized in my opinion. I’d been playing piano since I was 7 until I was about 9 years old. Then I started to learn piano again when I was 14 and keep practising until nowaday. In my spare time, I usually watch movies and series, read books, and listen to music. I enjoy listening to pop music, especially Kpop. My favourite Kpop band is Wanna One. I don’t have any specific dish that I really like but spicy is not my thing at all. However, most Thai people love spicy food and Thai food are mostly spicy. I’m a big fan of dark chocolate. Most of people like milk chocolate better and say that dark chocolate is too bitter, but for me milk chocolate is too sweet. I’m not good at any kind of sports, but the sport that I like the most is badminton. At the moment, my goals are to graduate from high school within 2 years and go to a good university.

This is the video that my physics’ teacher showed me when I was grade 10 in Thailand. This video talked about the spaceships that were designed to be capable of taking people from a city to another on Earth within under an hour with higher speed. The long distance trips only took about 30 minutes. For example, it takes 29 minutes to fly from London to Dubai and takes 31 minutes to fly from Sydney to Singapore. I like this video because it amazed me, with how smart the scientists and technologies are, every time I watched it.

Instagram is the website/application that I use the most because it contains the news, recipes, tips and pictures that inspire me. It’s easy and convenient to keep up about the news of people you like on instagram. Now, I’m following my favourite artists and actors that I like, so I can see their lifestyles, photos, works, etc. Sometimes, it is also one of the best educational platform because I also follow teachers who teach English online. They help me improve my grammar and vocabularies in order to be a better writer.

PICTURE THAT IMPACTED ME

This is the picture that I took 4 months ago while I was in Venice with my mom. My mom is a business woman who is always busy with her work and she doesn’t have any time to travel to anywhere for a year. So, this trip gives me an opportunity to spend time with my mom. We went to many stunning places including Venice, Duomo di Milano, Cinque Terre, Lake Como, and Bellagio. I feel so happy every time I see the pictures that I took, those pictures remind me of how happy I was when I’m with my mom. The reasons of why did I selected this picture are it’s the most gorgeous picture in my opinion and I think there are so many moods and emotions in this picture such as the boat makes me feel lonely, the river make me feel freely, etc.
