This year in textiles i used the skills I learnt last year to create some I have wanted for awhile. Before I even started making my bag I used Critical thinking when I got my fabric. The suggested type of fabric had little options to choose from and I wasn’t very excited over any of them. I decided that I would look at different fabric that is used to make curtains, pillows and couches. I found fabric that I loved that wasn’t an expected choose that work out fine if not better. I also use Critical Thinking when I started piecing my pieces together. I hand basted my fabric a long with muslin and batting together to hold it in place so that when I sewed my fabric would not bunch. I used Created Thinking when I designed how I wanted my bag to look. I added to the pattern by add an extra pocket and making my straps differently to give it the look I desired.
