Career Project

As the final project of the course, students were assigned to plan out their future career, filling out information such as tuition, years to complete to achieve it, accomplishments. Creativity was a considerable part of this as it was marked, but also because you had to present something other than a poster, powerpoint, etc. to be unique. For this project, I wanted to be a neurosurgeon, but broadly, I wanted to be a surgeon. From this, I created a puzzle-like brain board, each outlining the different sections of the brain, containing skills, steps or accounting plans on the back. In some parts, I connected similar actions to parallel sections such as the plans and achievements was on the back of the Cerebellum puzzle since it was the most critical part of the brain, as well as the steps. Critical Thinking was also used in this since the project contained a vast amount of research and details for you to understand. Communication was needed at the end as you had to present your presentation to a small group about your knowledge of your career. Positive Personal and Cultural Identity was in this as well as your future may depend on your cultural identity, as well as your accomplishments and achievements. In the end, Social Responsibility takes a significant act in this as you are starting to understand more about yourself and take responsibility within that and start to decide your path.

The following shows the project that I made:
