In summer school, I attended Social Studies 11 to graduate instead of taking Social Studies 12. This class was probably one of my favourites so far. For our comparative cultures unit, we had to organize a mindmap to show the religion, economy, science, art, social organization, family, and education of Mesopotamian Culture. The hardest part of this project for me was to fit in everything I want to include. As you can see, the words on the paper are a bit crowded, which is always something I have to work on because I have a habit of writing too much. Creative Thinking is one of the factors in this project, as you needed a unique way for your presentation to be special and to stand out from others (layout), as well as Critical Thinking to put your whole mindmap together while having interesting and fun information. The design was also preferred not to be bland, and colourful instead. Overall, this project helped me bring awareness to Mesopotamian Culture, and understand more about our past and how our present came to be.
