Introduction

Hello, my name is Ricardo Ortiz.

I was born in Brazil in 2004. I live with my mom, my dad, my sister and, most importantly, my cat. I lived in Brazil for 7 years until I moved to Canada with my family in 2012. I became a Canadian citizen in January 2018. My favorite color is red and purple (I can’t decide). My favorite animal is the crocodile. I’m also an actor. I started acting professionally back in 2016. I always liked to make homemade movies with my friends, but I never anticipated that I would become a real actor. Acting is fun, but sometimes it gets in the way of school, special events and pretty much anything. I always try my best to stay caught up with school and finish homework on time, but it’s very challenging. I love movies such as Star Wars: The Original Trilogy, Back To The Future, Jurassic Park, Ghostbusters, Indiana Jones: The Original Trilogy, Alien, Aliens, Jaws, E.T, The Dark Knight Rises and almost all Marvel movies.

Favourite Video

My favorite internet video is a trailer for a YouTube channel called Corridor. Corridor makes short 2 to 5 minute long videos using characters, weapons and ideas from movies, TV shows and video games. Corridor has been my favorite channel since 2012, this channel  have never let me down with their work. I chose this video because I thought it would be a good representation of their channel. Corridor has thought me many things like easy tips and tricks on adobe after effects. Their work have have inspired me to make my own videos.

Favourite Website

My favorite website is YouTube. YouTube helped me find my love for acting. I used to watch things like Corridor Digital, How It Should Have Ended, Smosh and Game Theory. This website is my favorite because it has such a large variety of content. There is something for everyone and it’s difficult to be bored.

Favourite Image 

This image is from the very famous movie, Jurassic Park. I chose this picture because it reminds me of what people can accomplish. Jurassic Park is one of my favorite movies due to its amazing special effects and Spielberg’s incredible way to tell a story. Every time I look at this picture it reminds me of hope, how the production team went through all the trouble of building and managing the T-Rex.

Favourite Quote

My favourite quote would have to be “If You Put Your Mind To It, You Can Accomplish Anything”  from the famous movie Back To The Future. This quote is said by Doctor Emmet Brown. To me, this quote means that if you work hard enough you can achieve many great things in life. I always try my best when I’m working, but it’s hard to stay focused when the world is moving too fast for my own pace. I find that this quote helps me achieve my goals. I hope this quote will stick with me for the rest of my life, I should always remember that if I put my mind to it, I will acomplish anything.
