Communication
My communication skills are getting better over the years. When I was younger, I did not know what I wanted to say to teachers. I always got nervous because I always thought I will always say the wrong things. Now I am more confident to speak out loud whenever I am at school or when I am somewhere else.
My strength in communication is listening. I am good at listening. I always love to listen to side conversations at school. My biggest struggle in communication is writing. Sometimes when I do an assignment in and out of school, I have no idea on what I want to write about. I always ask a parent or teacher for tips on writing better. My goal for this year is to try and improve at writing.
Creative thinking
Another one of my strengths is my creative thinking. I always have creative ideas when comes to projects or artwork. I always have a plan when I am interested in a hobby or in my spare time. I never want to hold back my plans. I always have steps when I am working on my interests. I am a visual planner; I have visual thoughts when I create new ideas. It will be an important part of my life because I have a creative mind.
I sometimes accept other points of view, but I still have work to do when taking advice.
Personal awareness & responsibility
I started to learn that my life will change constantly, and it is up to my efforts to develop and learn what I want to do in the future. My responsibility is my ability to respond to the constant change that comes up in my daily life.
I always speak up and for my opinions to be heard. Whenever someone says something interesting, I always reply with my opinion.
In two years, I will be out of high school and I want to know what I want to do that suits me best. I need to learn how life works and the value of working. I am aware that someday I will live in a home by myself and it is my responsibility to clean up after myself. I need to live well by getting a job and to be participating the best I could around others.
