Assignment 7 – Excel Graphing

In this pie chart, I have expressed the ingredients needed and used to make my pizza in the left column of the data table, as well as the amount of each ingredient in the right column. (I have used (grams) as the unit of the ingredient, and listed all the ingredients used to make the pizza and the amount of each ingredient.)

In the pie chart, I expressed the percentage of each ingredient occupied in a different color, and I also expressed the specific grams of each ingredient. (I converted the specific grams of each ingredient in the pie chart to a percentage of the pie chart, but still labeled the specific grams.)

We can see that of the ingredients used, gluten flour is the most used ingredient with a grams figure of 110 grams or 58% of the pie chart percentage, and salt is the least used ingredient with a grams figure of 1. 5 grams or 0.95% of the pie chart percentage.

In this bar graph, I expressed and demonstrated the number of friends’ birthdays per month. In the data table, I wrote the names of all the months in the left column, and the number of friends’ birthdays I had per month in the right column, well in the bottom bar graph, on the x-axis, I listed the names of all the 12 months and labeled them on the bottom, and on the y-axis, I listed the number of friends that might reach each month, listed from 0 to 7. The blue bar rows clearly show how many of my friends had birthdays each month.

  • (This is a growing practice I did as part of a hands-on science activity in 6th grade, and I kept very clear records of the daily height changes (and data) of the soybean sprouts I grew.)

In this line graph, I have expressed and recorded  change in height of a soybean tooth per day over a period of eight days.

In the data table, on the left side, I have listed the number of days that the soybean tooth has been growing (eight days in total), and on the right side, I have listed the height of soybean sprouts per day/cm (what is the height of the tooth per day.)

In the bottom line graph, I used Changes in height process of soybean sprouts growth as the title of the line graph and on the x-axis I listed and wrote the total number of days the sprouts had been growing (eight), also, on the y-axis, I listed and the height of soybean sprouts per day that they might have grown to (cm ), and of course there are orange dots expressing daily height of the sprouts and the dotted lines expressing the growth height trend.
