Give three reasons why you would like this job (be specific):
- You have a very high salary which allows you to be financially stable which is something I want for my family in the future
- Most offices are located in the downtown area and I like to live in the heart of the town because I never got to experience it.
- You meet a bunch of people all over the world which I find very interesting.
Give three reasons why you would not like this job (be specific):
- You have very little time to spend with your family and I want to be there for my family and this job that my Dad does does not allow time for that.
- Your always traveling and I hate planes so that would be an issue for me
- It’s a very repetitive job that doesn’t change often so I think I would get bored after awhile and I want to do something i’m truly interested in.
Is this job for you? Why or why not?
I do not see myself having a career in Law because there isn’t any aspects of it that really intrigues me. I see myself doing a job with a flexible schedule and something in athletics, because that is the only thing that I am actually passionate about and I don’t see myself having a job in any other job field.
Explain the value of the TYKTW experience in relation to your ideas about your post secondary (after high school) plans (education?, training?, travel?, work?).
I think that Take Your Kid To Work Day has a very big impact on grade 9’s choices of career because if we didn’t have this day I would have wanted to be a lawyer just like my Dad, but after sitting in a courtroom for 6 hours I don’t think this job is for me. But for other kids they might want to follow in their parents footsteps which is why this day has so much value to us.
