About Me
Hello, my name is Sophia. I am one of the many new ninth graders here at Heritage woods and I am so excited to start off this brand new journey. A passion of mine is horses, I have been riding for many years and I am so grateful to have these beautiful creatures be apart of my life. I also love to read and go out for hikes in so many of the stunning and picturesque places we have here in this province. I cant wait to get into the swing of classes and see what lies ahead for the next few years.
Favourite Video
The reason I like this video is because it shows a part of a horses personality. A lot of people act as if a horse is more a robot and less a 1200 pound animal with a mind of its own. They have feelings and personality’s just like people, if you treat them right then they will repay you with the same good nature and respect that you have showed them. If you have done something to make them unhappy then they will let you know, and you, have to watch for those signs to ensure the health and happiness of your horse, yourself, and others.
Favourite Website
I have to say my favourite website would most likely have to be Netflix because like most people, I like to just kick back at times and watch a movie or show. Sometimes I also enjoy watching some of the documentaries. Mainly the ones about horses are my go to, but some of the others are also quite interesting. I love to learn new things and I think documentaries are a great way to incorporate education into the technology of this generation.
Favourite Image
I couldn’t decide on a one single favourite photo, so I picked two from the top of my list. Both these photos were photographed by myself in moments were I saw opportunity. The photo on the left I took while my family and I were on holiday. To me the veining represents the journey of life, because in life things aren’t supposed to go in a dead strait line, there are going to be bumps and swerves along the road. The photo on the right is of one of the horses at my barn, I think that the eye can tell you so much as well as hold so many emotions. So I thought maybe I could bring to saying “a picture is worth a thousand words” to life.
Favourite Quote
my favourite quote is one said by Mahatma Gandhi, “Live as if you were to die tomorrow. Learn as if you were to live forever”. Life is a gift, we should be living every day to its fullest, not wasting a single moment. Sometimes things will get hard, but we have to push through, we have to make the most of the time we are given and make it count.
I really like how you have integrated various media (video, images, links) into your post. You have done a very good job constructing your page and commenting about yourself and your interests whilst still being mindful of your online presence. Good work. 5/5
