Basketball (Extra Curricular)

One of my favorite things to do in my spare time is to play basketball. I love basketball because it is so much fun playing with your friends and you get to get active while playing. I have played basketball for about 6 years and I have loved every moment of it. I use to play for Tri-City, but now I decided to try out for the school team. Unfortunately I did not make it so now I play outside of school at a park or rec-center with friends or random people. I enjoy basketball a lot because it is always fun running back and forth along the court trying to stop my opponent from scoring.           Another thing that I love doing is going through your opponent and scoring. There is nothing better than proving someone that you can charge right at them and beat them to the net. usually during lunch I like to play Basketball with my friend Sean, Sunny, and Alex. We have so much fun just shooting the ball around. I like to watch basketball on YouTube and TV because you can learn how to improve your skills, while watching pros work hard. Somethings for me in basketball that I want to improve on is my charging because lately I find it hard passing my opponent and scoring, I am really trying to improve and become a better basketball player. and hopefully make the basketball school team next year. Basketball is very important to me because it keeps me in shape and because when growing up my dad use to be my coach, and he and my mom would be my number one supporters and they would always tell me to try my hardest. Basketball has helped me in many ways such as it has taught me commitment and team work. Commitment has taught me to show up on time to games and practices and how to manage time well. Team work has taught me to work together and rely on other people to help you.
