Hello, my name is Walter Chen. I am attending as a freshman in heritage woods secondary school. I moved to British Colombia 6 months ago, because people are getting laid off from his job and my dad was one of them so we moved here for more chances in getting a job. He has a job now but we are still struggling, his job is not paying him enough and my mom’s job is not paying enough either.

Before I moved I lived in Airdrie, in Alberta and all my friends didn’t want me to move, this kid offered me to stay at his basement, honestly, I should have accepted his offer because, it would be so cool having a roommate and getting free meals. I missed them though because they shaped who I am today and without them I would be clueless, or I’ll just find some other people to be my friend, but in all seriousness, I miss them and I want to visit them some time but, until then I’m going to hang with friends I have now. This school was one of the reason that we moved, my parents wanted me to have a good education. We could have moved to Richmond or Vancouver, but apparently, this school was top 4 in ranking. I hope this school doesn’t disappoint me.

I was thinking of joining a basketball team out of school but I have no clue if my parents have the money to afford it so I might just join the one in school. I am passionate with basketball but I’m worried that school work and practice will interfere with it. I have so much homework already and it only been 7 days in high school, but I’m going to try my best to deal with my problems. Basketball season needs to start I’m dying to play and watch, I want to see how James harden and Chris Paul play, what their strategy is and they are going to perform. I have faith that they are going to make it to the second seed in the western conference.
