Compare and contrast

A story can really intrigue some people and different stories can convey the same feeling, emotions, and themes. people would not think stories are similar until they compare stories. Stories can be completely different, like the genres, story book or a movie, these differences separates story from story, but these stories can send the same message. Afrika road by Don Mattera and Friday Everything Changed by Anne Hart not Possess a strong sense of struggle for equality. In Afrika road, Don Mattera was trying to explain the hardships and effects of racism. In The Friday Everything Changed, Anne Hart demonstrates gender equality. This essay will discuss the similarities and differences of the messages in these stories.

These stories are similar in many ways. In Afrika road and The Friday Everything Changed, it speaks on discrimination occurring and being able to defend and protect their beliefs. Racism and sexism is not to different, these issues are issue that exist today. Racism is a problem that should be resolved by now, but it has not, so one must speak on it. As for sexism, there are not as much problems with sexism, but in other countries, women are payed less and mistreated. The Friday Everything Changed showed a in equality to girls from the boys, Alma the protagonist insisted to carry the water bucket, after the boys done it since forever. The boys were unhappy from her dreadful request so the boys started to threaten her. Alma understands boys have been carrying the water bucket for a long time, but she wants to carry it so she can have an hour of free time. She did not just want the boys to be able to have this hour of free time.
