Poem A describes the two sides of a person’s personality. First being a lighter, friendly and energetic character symbolized by yellow; and second being fearful and vulnerable represented by the colour, purple. Poem B portrays a person’s mood change from day to day as the poet describes his contrasting qualities of energy and lethargy. Both poems end with a closing statement. First one argues that the two qualities the poet describes are him. Poem B suggests that his mood alternates and that today, he leans towards the energetic and eager self. Good titles I would give for these poems are as follows: “Collage of self” for poem A and “Duality of my character” for poem B.
